21 January - Camberwell - Holborn - Crystal Palace

Focus on your own agenda/goals: So i chose to come in on this bike today, as i am out riding from Crystal palace tomorrow. Maybe i am a little tired, but i was knackered cycling in and I had to muster all my energy to even overtake someone on a boris bike. The fact that i trained legs two days ago might have something to do with it.

A problem i have and something that i am now trying to resist, is not letting other peoples efforts affect my agenda. So often, i will chase after someone and attempt to blow them away on a hill or on the way to work, or just try and keep up with them -just to prove what? That I can go faster? That i can keep up?

The thing i have come to realise and i must say, something i know full well from working out at the gym, is that we are all training to meet our own goals and trying to catch someone up in Richmond Park for instance, or trying to lift the same weight, may seem like a good idea, but in doing so, you might knacker yourself at the very least. They might be doing one lap and your goal might be 4 or 5, so completely different agenda.

So, don't, however frustrating it might be, get dragged from your agenda or goals and into some competitive rage, just to prove a point. It is not going to do you any good in the long-run. Keep focussed on your own goals. Having said that I am still finding it very hard to keep to - down boy.

Food: Weetabix with Honey, Banana, Kiwi, Tea, Chicken and Couscous, Meal Replacement Bar - now this is where it goes downhill - Stir-fry Chicken & veg, Ice cream, Yoghurt, 9 squares of mint Green & Blacks.
Weight: 11st 2 3/4lbs (weighed am - naked apart from pair of socks)

Gym: Evening session - Shoulders & Back
