17 January - Camberwell - Holborn

Day 17

Rider: Andy
Bike: Tifosi Fixed
Location: Camberwell SE5
Conditions: Very, very wet, but thanks to my trusty Gore Pac Light i was kept very dry - well the top half of me anyway. The rest of me was soaking wet.
Total Mileage: 10 miles (5 each way)
Route: Walworth Road/Elephant & Castle/Blackfriars/Farringdon Road/Chancery Lane/Gray's Inn Road/Theobalds Road.
Time: 8.40am
Food: Weetabix with honey, Banana, Tea, Salmon and Veg, Nuts and Dates, Protein Bar, Banana, Chicken, Butternut Squash & Broccoli, Innocent Smoothie.

Now there i was consuming vast amounts of Innocent Smoothies and thinking they were healthy. That will teach me to read and understand the contents more fully. Like anything it's all about moderation, but i think I am going to stay off them for a while and see if I can lose some of those nasty pounds i seem to have acquired. There is way to much sugar and they are packed with calories.  Just one carton in the fridge that needs drinking first.

Advantages of a smoothie

Healthier than fizzy drinks or junk food 
Natural Sugar is better for you 
Easy and quick to consume 

Disadvantages 
Too much sugar 
Stripped nutrients

Lots of Calories 
Acid values are high



Mechanicals: NON - But bike does need an overhaul - making some dodgy noises
Idiots Encountered: Very stupid woman. Try walking out into 3 lanes of stationery traffic in the wet and walking in between buses and cars. Well a mother and her two small children did just that and walked straight in front of me - to be fair she apologised after i had told her how dumb it was and how she put her two small childrens lives at risk. Will she do it again - probably.
Gym: ARMS - Biceps and Triceps and a measly 10 mins on the step machine as the ....... rowing machine displays weren't working. LA Shitness at it's glorious best.
